Our Background & Journey
Savitri Bai Phule Samajik Seva Pratistan is a non-profit government organization registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860 and the Mumbai Public Trust Act of 1950.
For the last 6 years, the organization has been dedicated to the betterment of women and small children in the community through various projects. These include Abhaysikha, Women Empowerment initiatives, activity schools in community areas, adolescent projects, and broader community development programs.
We implement diverse activities to bring about positive changes in the living conditions and quality of life for women and underprivileged groups through capacity and skill development. Our work focuses on organizing, informing, and building the capacity of women and adolescent girls to address critical issues like health, violence, and safety.
We promote entrepreneurship-based skill development to increase income, launching various courses that provide employment opportunities to women, girls, and disadvantaged groups. Examples include Nursing Courses, Tailoring, and Service Industry training.
Additionally, we provide referral services to assist persons with disabilities, including access to educational services, and offer free nursing training, tailoring classes for women, and free tuition for small students in rural and slum areas. We also provide books and clothes to needy and poor students in our working areas.
                Our Strategic Approach
Our strategy is rooted in community engagement and empowerment, ensuring sustainable impact.
Community-Driven Development
By organizing women in urban, semi-urban, and slum areas, we work to improve their living conditions and quality of life. This is achieved by identifying their specific needs and developing their abilities and skills accordingly.
Family & Child Support
Women and their families are considered our primary target group. We provide referral services and support for educational and health problems faced by girls and boys in these families, ensuring they are not deprived of education and maintain good health despite challenging conditions.

Consequently, even with the strong will and capacity of our human resources, many crucial programs cannot be conducted.

Support Our Projects TodayA Story of Transformation: Neha's Journey
Real lives, real impact. Here's how your support can change a life.
"Neha was a disabled girl from a poor family. Her education from 1st to 6th grade was completed in Karnataka. Due to unfortunate circumstances, she came to Pune, and her education stopped. She also faced mobility challenges. It was at this time that our organization's team met her. After understanding her problems, we facilitated her admission to a school for the disabled. She diligently studied there until class 10th.
Later, she gained admission to another school for the disabled in Shirur, where she completed her studies up to class 12th. With our support, she also underwent a leg operation, and now, she can walk on her own with the help of a stick. This journey has not only improved her physical condition but has also significantly boosted her confidence, allowing her to lead a happier and more fulfilling life."
